This course is designed for high school students who have earned a 1/2 unit of Intermediate Spanish. This course reinforces the communicative competence of Spanish at the intermediate stage of language learning. If focuses on enhancing proficiency in the four linguistic skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing, as well as the knowledge of Hispanic culture, literature, and civlization. Upon the successful completion of this course, students will have the five C's skills--communication, culture, connections, comparisons, communities--that are necessary for intermediate-high level classification (using ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines).
