This course provides an intensive study of the historical development and current status of constitutional doctrine in relation to the administration of justice. It utilizes the opinions of the U. S. Supreme Court as the basis for analyzing equal protection under the law, police practices, and the fundamental rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. Both federal and state constitutional laws as they relate to the criminal justice system are studied.
