In this course, students will explore design history, theory, technique and the formal language of graphic communications. Students will combine the theories in typography and image and apply them to conceptual projects. The history of graphic design will be discussed as well as new trends in the field. Assignments, critiques, lectures and discussions will critically analyze the nature of design problems, research, articulation and presentation.
