These courses are a survey of the major subtopics of physical chemistry. This course includes the principles of quantum chemistry, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, and group theory. Three lectures, one laboratory, and one recitation per week. Mathematical techniques will be introduced as needed. Prerequisite: CHM111-112, MAT111-112, PHY201-202 or PHY223- 224 or equivalent course.
