GAM 471 - Sensory and AI 3D Modeling

Institution:
Southern New Hampshire University
Subject:
Game Development
Description:
An introductory course in the concepts and applications of sensory and artifical intelligence in 3D modeling with animation. Students are introduced to the Blender 3D modeling suite where the concepts of motion sensing, vision sensing, audio sensing, tactual sensing, collision sensing, and other sensing parameters are presented. Model interactions with game controllers and their affects of game actuators such as game cameras, special effects and other game components are also introduced. AI integration with programming is explored to produce AI wrappers for resulting models. Students are shown the differences between simple mesh modeling and animation used in some nongame applications and the demands of intelligent armature and rigging.
