This course analyzes contemporary issues including the use of performance enhancing drugs, gambling, escalating salaries, violence and institutional cheating in sports. Case studies will be investigated and students will engage in critical thinking and discussions to understand what has created these issues. The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the many controversies and issues that surround the sport industry and prepare sport manager to effectively address these issues in the field.
