This course uses information within the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), the Commercial Drivers license (CDL) Manual, and the tread Computer Based Learning Modules to instruct the student with the various systems peculiar to Class A (tractor-trailer) commercial vehicle operation. Students will be instructed regarding operation and maintenance of air braking systems, drive train components and coupling systems. They will be trained to perform proper vehicle pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to FMCSR and CDL requirements.
