This course teaches information contained in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), the commercial Drivers License (CDL) Manual, and the tread Computer Based learning Modules. Students are prepared for Commercial Driver License learner¿s permit testing in areas of safe driving, handling of hazardous materials, combination vehicle characteristics and defensive driving techniques. Students will become familiar with the Drivers Hours of Service regulations, proper daily log keeping and maintenance, trip planning, and federal requirements concerning accident scene safety and reporting procedures. Also included is the FMCSR required courses of Driver Qualifications, Hours of Service, Whistleblower, and Driver Wellness.
