Prepares students who are planning to work in ambulatory care as medical assistants to aid patients with respiratory disease. The course will provide learning and instruction in the use of oxygen; aerosolized medication therapy; respiratory system assessment; respiratory diseases; patient preparation for diagnostic exams; and prepare the student to coordinate care with home care providers for patients with respiratory disease.
