This introductory course investigates basic electrical theory and practice, including safety while working with electricity, and how to utilize tools and equipment used in working with electricity. Some topics covered in this course include safety, electricity, electricity sources, electrical materials and devices, conductors, current, voltage, resistance, power, magnetism and electromagnetism, use of test instruments, generators, direct and alternating current, capacitors, photovoltaics, hydropower, wind, turbines, and biofuels. 3 cr. 3 Lec. 2 Lab.
