This course is designed for practicing Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediates (EMT-I) to renew and update information related to their practice. The course will focus on medical and trauma management techniques that have changed or been updated. This course is designed to follow current New York State Department of Health guidelines and curriculum for an Intermediate refresher course. Prerequisite: EMT- Intermediate Certification or equivalent, or permission of instructor. 1.5 cr. 1 Lec., 2 lab. (Per Departmental Standards Version of EMS 191, approved by Academic Affairs on 04/19/2007).
