Have you ever wondered why things eat the way they do? Stream biologists place all insect families into one of five major functional feeding groups based on the type of food utilized as well as the feeding method. We will examine living critters from two Tug Hill streams and compare to an optimal community structure model for the Tug Hill. All activities will be classroom based and results will be analyzed by computer.
