Description:
Tango & Merengue Increase your dance and versatility by learning Tango and Merengue. Tango is an expressive, bold dance that has been popular for decades. The basic step is easily learned and great fun for mixed partners. Merengue is the simplest of any dance you will ever learn. Done to Latin music with a march-like tempo, it is popular in salsa clubs and elsewhere worldwide. In this class, you will learn the basics of these two dances, plus as many additional steps as time allows. You will be asked to change partners as a way to improve leading and following. The overall emphasis will be to learn to recognize the music, dance the basics, use correct technique, and enjoy yourself. Partners are not necessary.
