3 credit hours. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in EN 084 and EN 094 or their equivalents. These courses will introduce the student to the language through the study of basic grammar structure, dialogues and vocabulary. Through these classes the student will gain a working knowledge of written and oral skills, reading, basic grammar, idioms and will have a limited ability to converse in the language.
