Considers women’s issues and feminist movements from a global and non-Western perspective. Includes discussion of the globalization of feminism; the relationship between feminism and colonialism; the connection of women’s movements to national/independence movements and revolutionary movements; and specific issues such as work/labor, sexuality, reproduction, and religion. Prerequisites: WGS 350 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
