An introduction to feminist theory. Examines feminist theoretical concepts in Europe and the U.S. from their inception in early 20th century through the present. Includes discussions of women and the vote, sexuality, identity politics, and girl culture. Texts are theoretical, historical, and literary. Film and video clips may be used to enhance course lectures. Prerequisites: WGS 100 OR 200 & NOT 250 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
