Provides a view of nonviolence as an end and personal style, although emphasis is placed on nonviolence as a means of responding to oppression. Offers a structural opportunity for students to integrate the theories and practice of nonviolence or other alternative paradigms, as related to real-life situations, into their own life experiences. An interdisciplinary analysis of nonviolence is employed. Prerequisites: SR ONLY & AT LEAST 1 SOC SCI CRSE Credit Hours: 5 General Education Code: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
