Study of some of major problematic areas in ascription of legal liability and responsibility. Chief areas of concern are: (1) grounds on which courts determine who or what is causally responsible for what occurred; (2) extent to which finding of legal responsibility should take account of intentions, knowledge, recklessness, etc., of accused; and (3) whether only sane individuals should be held legally responsible. Prerequisites: SR ONLY & 8 HRS HUM OR SOC SCI Credit Hours: 5 General Education Code: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
