Evidence drawn from Noam Chomsky’s theory of language brought to bear on the question of the place of the mind/brain in the natural world. Chomsky’s claims touch on issues of central importance for linguistics, psychology, philosophy, and anthropology, and have had a decided impact on all of these fields over the past 30 years. Prerequisites: SR ONLY & 300 LVL LING OR PHIL OR PSY OR ANTH Credit Hours: 4 General Education Code: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
