Description:
-
Physics is entering a new and exciting era in which two “pillars” of the last century – Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity are being unified by the theory of Quantum Gravity. In principle, Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity are “incompatible” to such an extent that calculations involving the two principles usually yield a meaningless answer – such as infinity. Quantum Gravity attempts to make sense of how both principles interact with each other.
