Psychological interventions are increasingly being used along with medicine in the health care system to increase healthy behaviors and decrease the likelihood of mortality. In fact, many health psychologists are employed in medical settings and work with physicians, dentists, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, and physical and occupational therapists.
