Topics include the metabolism of the energy yielding nutrients in physical activity, body weight and composition for health and sports, and the role of ergogenic agents. The course emphasizes how physical performance may be optimized via the diet. Prerequisite: BIOL 0030. Recommended: BIOL 0800 and BIOL 1160. Instructor permission required.
