This seminar will explore our current understanding in conservation science, which ranges from the biology of invasive and threaten species to management and policy options. The course will cover the topics of: (1) managed relocation of species and the creation of novel ecosystems, (2) ecosystem–based management, and (3) consequences of biofuel production on biodiversity.
