This course provides an introduction to computer and networks security. It covers topics such as electronic security threats, strategies for host, network and application security, cryptography, firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection systems, incident response and developing security policy for an organization. Prerequisites: CTCH 161 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
