Basic structure and function of the human nervous system. This course provides students, including those in premedicine and allied health fields, with a basic understanding of the brain systems underlying human behavior (e.g., sensation and perception, movement, memory, emotion, sleep and arousal, decision-making) and the consequences of neurological damage to these systems. No credit if BIOS 413. 3 lec. Prerequisites: (C- OR BETTER BIOS 203 OR 300 OR 301A OR 303) & NOT 413 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
