This course is a continuation of Pharmaceutics I and covers the mechanisms of both immediate and sustained drug release in formulations involving solid and semi-solid systems. An introduction to novel drug delivery systems is provided. Subject areas include drug pre-formulation, the drug approval processes, and regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry. An in-depth knowledge of drug preparation, liberation, absorption and stability of dosage is provided.
