Description:
This course will introduce the student to the process of evaluating the signs and symptoms of an underlying disease process presented by a patient. The organization and conduct of a patient interview and the approaches to an abbreviated physical examination will be presented as classroom discussion and laboratory-based exercises. The concept of follow-up monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy will also be emphasized.
