Description:
Biopsychosocial theory and practice in mental health occupational therapy will be applied, evaluated and integrated. The intentional relationship model, with its emphasis on identifying interpersonal modes and building a broader interpersonal skill base, will be integrated with the foundational theoretical frameworks of the model of human occupation and sensory processing to create occupational therapy interventions for a wide variety of populations. Practice examples from fieldwork will be used for reflection, refinement and leadership toward establishment of strong mental health practice in occupational therapy.
