Refining listening skills and awareness and sensitivity to diversity is emphasized as students engage in dialogues about gender, race, class, culture, age, ability, nationality and sexual orientation. Listening as a rapport building, team building and conflict resolution skill is practiced as a basis for effective communication with peers, clients and professionals of diverse backgrounds. Group process is introduced. Offered fall semester only.
