This course is targeted at students in the social sciences and humanities and investigates how science is involved in recent developments in politics and society, with a focus on the science. Students will research recent newspapers for how science plays a role in daily life, learn more about the involved science, and discuss how the science affects the respective issues. Covered topics will be student-driven and could include global climate change, different diseases, aspects of conservation, or others.
