This course will develop values, attitudes and skills which lead to the production of the highest technical quality radiographs with minimum patient and operator exposure. This includes, 1) Principles and concepts of radiation and it¿s interaction with matter and radiation protection procedures, 2) how the components of the x-ray equipment works as well as the processing equipment and proper quality assurance and control, 3) the types of surveys available and the criteria for selecting the appropriate one, 4) how to recognize and interpret normal anatomy, disease and developmental abnormalities and 5) alternative imaging modalities.
