Introduces chemistry students to the basic elements of electronics. Specific topics include networks, passive and active filters, digital electronics, logic gates, counters, flip-flops, and converters. Second half of course introduces students to experimental design, pattern recognition, factorial analysis, and multivariate statistical methods. Prerequisite: CHEM 4230 or its equivalent.
