African American discourse and its relationship to equality and participation. Through examiniation of various media, music, speeches, and art this course uses the struggle of African Americans as an instructive exemplar, to come to terms with the philosophical concepts, political issues, moral complexities, and discursive characteristics of African American Rhetoric.
