Because of the vast complexity of the subject matter the course in no way intends to be comprehensive but rather to provide an introduction to the foundations of Indian cultural tradition, the evolution of Hindu philosophical and spiritual ideals, as well as, a cursory understanding of Hindu nationalism and modern Hindu religious practice.
