Provides students with an understanding of the fundamental principles and applications of traditional 2D character animation. Student broaden their awareness and appreciation of the depth of skill and abilities required to create 2D animation and how these skills can and must be applied toward the creation of quality 3D animation as well. Students will develop specific 2D animation skills, such as pencil testing, ink and paint and compositing and will master the fundamental principles of character animation. Students will produce a finished piece of original animation that showcases the skills acquired in class.
