This course will explore the history of and key developments in the major fields of science. The history of the development of the scientific method itself and how it has been applied to answer questions about the natural world will be reviewed as well. Current scientific issues will be explored through readings and discussion with emphasis on their impact on society and the limitations of scientific investigation. Prerequisites: BIO200, or two years of high school biology, and ENG 101.
