An integrated and in-depth look at combination of issues raised by complex mass tort lawsuits; substantive tort law; civil procedure; litigation strategy; lawyer-client relationships; economics of settlement, ethics, judicial role, societal impacts. Exploration of eight to ten celebrated mass tort lawsuits such as Buffalo Creek disaster, asbestos, Dalkon Shield, Agent Orange, Woburn leukemia case, tobacco smoking, silicon breast implants, electromagnetic fields, medical malpractice.
