This course will discuss famous trials, and examine how advocates formulate "the story of the case." Each student will choose a case about which to write a term paper involving significant original research and writing. During the writing process, students will meet and confer with the professor to discuss the proposed topic and to review drafts. Class discussion on the chosen topics will be given.
