This course examines the interacting changes in American ideas of nature, self, and country in the nineteenth, and twentieth centuries with the aim of casting light on the twenty-first. The course will focus on climate change, and the need for sustainable, and health food systems. Earlier coursework in environmental, and natural resources law is helpful but not required.
