This course will look at the meaning of white collar crime and its significance for criminologists and lawyers in the context of East Asia. Topics to be covered will include corporate criminal responsibility, prosecuting and defending white collar crime, sentencing white collar offenders, the use of shaming sanctions in the punishment of corporations, and legal responses to bribery, corruption, insider trading, and market abuse.
