The first part of this course will deal with the international conventions for the protection of heritage, such as those of UNESCO concerned with its management in time of conflict, and those dealing with illicit traffic, as well as others which have an impact on cultural heritage protection such as the Convention on Bio-diversity and that on Endangered Species. The second part of this course will focus on "cultural diversity" in the context of globalization. This course will try to find answers to these questions focusing on two fields of law.
