This course begins with the system of constitutional review in Hong Kong. Topics include the power to review the constitutionality of Hong Kong legislation enjoyed by the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the power to review Hong Kong legislation enjoyed by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and the jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to review legislative actos of the National People's Congress, and its Standing Committee.
