Description:
This course will concentrate on the study of organized sport, i.e., sport practiced within the framework of the rules of international sports bodies, in particular the IOC and the international sports federations. Lectures will be presented taking into account both national and international law. The course will examine arbitration and court action. Finally, sports having become a prime economic factor, contracts pertaining to employment, sponsoring, the sale of media rights, as well as legal and contractual liabilities will be discussed.
