Examination of the adaptation, growth, development, and production management systems employed for producing and maintaining the major field and turf crops. Strategies will be evaluated that should enable our producers to maintain strong crop management enterprises fully competitive in local, national, and global markets, while simultaneiously preserving the integrity of the crop's growing environment. Cultural practices leading to long-term and economically viable crop yield and quality, including those impacting on soil quality, weed, insect, and disease behavior will be emphasized. IPM strategies will be employed as well as traditional control methodologies. Course will include testing to obtain a private pesticide operator's license, AG Plant, O.
