An introduction to the applications of horticultural science for students training to become classroom agriculture teachers. The student will gain "hands-on" experience in agriculture education horticulture practices in the classroom, greenhouse and field conditions. The student will be exposed to various aspects of applied horticulture techniques such as plant propagation, climatic factor management, pest management, harvesting techniques, post-harvest handling, and marketing; thus complementing the classroom learning previously acquired. Emphasis will be put on field visits to arboretums, orchards, greenhouses, vegetable crops, packing houses, and post-harvest handling facilities. Students will keep a journal and build a photo essay for presentation of their experience. Prerequisite or Corequisite: AGB 110.
