This course introduces commonly used quantitative tools of managerial economics and management science in practice. Situations often require ability to identify decision situations, model complex processes, use information available to make a choice. Specific topics include spreadsheet modeling, decision and risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and optimization. Areas of application include inventory management, financial instruments, insurance, and capital budgeting, planning and marketing. Topics based on students¿ general interests will also be discussed.
