This course will provide students with a broad, policy-relevant overview of contemporary scientific understanding of climate change. The recently-released IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (IPCC AR4) titled `Climate Change 2007' will provide the framework for discussion of various aspects of climate change, including the fundamental physical science basis, potential impacts and vulnerability, and mitigation of climate change.
