Focus on innovative approaches that protect and restore ecological value, create sustainable spaces, and address ethical dilemmas arising from conflicting public perceptions of sustainability. Review of survey methods used to gather public opinion and participatory planning models that involve the public in solutions. Examination of national and international innovative design examples such as Singapore¿s water conservation efforts and Freiburg, Germany¿s quest to become the most sustainable city in the world.
