Theory and empirical applications of decision making when individuals within groups have conflicting interests. For households include all outcomes over which household members have preferences (allocations of time to home production, market work and leisure, expenditures on goods; investments in children's education, daycare, and health; transfers within and across generations. Matching models and search (or marriage/divorce) markets) and consequences for intra- and extra-household distributions, including the intra-family distribution of income, child support, health and mortality, births out of wedlock and productivity over life cycle.
