Basic econometric methods useful in empirical economic research and forecasting. Topics include multiple regression analysis under nonstandard conditions; probit, logit, and other limited dependent variables; count data; simultaneous equation systems; and models with panel data. Focus on macroeconomic applications. (Same as economics 141, but requires additional paper; not open to students who have taken Economics 141.) Prerequisite: Economics 139D or 239D.
